Turning his Car into Biodiesel

Who: The Bean Shooter

What: Altering used vegetable oil to run through my 1985 Mercedes 300 D, known from here forth as "Edward".

Why:  Diesel engines were made to run on vegetable oil, the trick is gettting the oil to the right viscosity (fluidity) to run through your engine. This type of fuel burns cleaner, creates less pollution, is completely renewable and decreases our dependence on foreign oil.

Where:  My backyard.

When: I bought Edward for this purpose in May of 2007.  I plan to have my biodiesel processor fully built by March of 08.  I made my first batch of biodiesel in Jan 2008
